Description
Phacil has an immediate need Senior Network Engineer for an important government customer near Stennis Space Center , MS.

Scope
The agency is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the agency’s Global Information Technology Infrastructure. The NOC is the central monitoring, coordinating, remediating and reporting authority for all network incidents, maintenance, and outages for the agency infrastructure. It supports the infrastructure 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The NOC provides support to the agency Local Area Network (LAN) which constitutes approximately 2,000 devices and 527 voice and data circuits across the United States and our overseas locations. The scope of the work would support both the NOC and the SOC for the agency. Inherent within this scope of work is that the contractor will be responsible for the Operational Baseline. We will be responsible for providing the following services:
Program Management, Transition, Network Management, Enterprise Operations Monitoring, Network Incident Services Response and Analysis Support, Coordination, Policy Input and Reporting. Will be responsible for leading a team of Network Specialists within a NOC environment and responsible for coverage of certain shifts.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline
Must have at least 5 years of experience supervising in a NOC or SOC environment
Must have certification in at least one of the following: CCIE; CCNP; OPNET Certified Expert; RCSP; IBM Certified Deployment Professional; or MCITP/MCSE
Experience with the following tools are required:
Netcool – Proactive monitoring of devices
NetQos – Monitoring of network bandwidth
Riverbed CMC – Monitoring of Riverbed appliances
RMX management – Monitoring Polycom
Zabbix – Monitoring Voice
Dell Open Manage – Push updates and generate reports on servers and workstations
Microsoft Exchange Server Profile Analyzer – Reviews settings on servers to tune performance
NetBack Up – Allows the scheduled backup of servers and restores when needed
Symantec Command Central – Reports on SAN and NAS Storage for the enterprise
Tivoli – Various Tivoli monitoring tools for ELIS
Cisco ACS – device authentication
Infoblox – DNS/DHCP
Cisco Works & EMC Voyence – Configuration Management
Riverbed CMC – manages the Riverbed appliances
