This position is for a Commercial Form Carpenter performing site work at a construction project in Escatawpa, MS. Duties will include but not be limited to: Framing of decks and walking platforms (must be able to cut stair stringers); Install manufactured as well as stick build forms, (experience in finishing concrete a plus); Install blocking during interior metal frame stage and hang accessories related to the blocking specs; Install commercial door frames, doors and hardware. Qualifications include: Must possess reading comprehension and writing ability necessary to perform successful job duties; At least Five (5) years of experience in commercial carpentry with emphasis on concrete formwork; Must have knowledge of rough/form, rough frame, interior build-out and hardware installation; Must be able to safely operate carpentry power tools; Ability to read commercial blue prints is a plus but not required; Able to work in various weather conditions and elevations throughout the structure; May be required to work above ground level, work in a squatting or kneeling position and be able to carry required tools and material to complete assigned work; Will be required to supply own hand tools; Lifting weights of 20 to 40 pounds; Must be able to read within arms-length to permit operation of switches or to adjust knobs on tools and/or equipment; Will work activities both inside buildings and out of doors; Sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level; Hazards including physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts. Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform this position.
