This Position is for a CNA. Will be providing personal care services and in-home respite services. Any persons providing personal care services must be a qualified CNA per employer. Duties will include but not limited to: Must complete and submit monthly review sheet in a timely manner; Participate in the use of daily phone log monitoring system of client services; Attend regularly offered in-services and demonstrated learned competencies; Understand and adhere to policies and procedures. Duties expected of a CNA: Assisting client with personal care, such as: Mouth .and. denture care, shaving, finger .and. toe nail care (no cutting), grooming, hair shampooing, etc., bathing or bed bath (shower or tub), help with dressing, assisting with toileting (bed pan, commode/chair or urinal emptying and cleaning), help with eating; Reminding client to take medication; Attending appointments; Assist with transfers and repositioning of client be it to bed or wheelchair; Assist with ambulation; perform all other duties assigned. Duties expected of a Personal Care Attendant: Clean the kitchen, wash dishes, clean stove and appliances as needed; Ensue all areas used by client are clean and in order; Prepare shopping list; Run errands; Prepare and serve meals; Laundry, light ironing and storage of clothing; Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting as needed; Make/change bed linen; Perform all other duties assigned. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age; High School Diploma or GED OR Must demonstrate ability to read written personal care assignment and write adequately to complete required forms and reports of visits; Must have reliable transportation to clients homes; Must submit to and pass background checks (Criminal history, Sex offender Registry, Abuse Registry and TBI Registry); Be able to function independently without constant observation/supervision; Have interest in and empathy for those who are ill, elderly or disabled; Be emotionally mature and able to respond to clients and situations in a responsible manner; Possess good communications and interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively, assertively and cooperatively with variety of people.
